There are a few places left on the following craft workshops: Mosaics and Peg Loom Weaving
The Workshops have been organised by the Woolly Walls Executive Design Group - to whom we extend our thanks for their continuing commitment and hard work.
We are also grateful to Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service for their financial support of the Woolly Walls Project, which allows us to sample crafts at very reduced costs.
These events provide ideal opportunities to learn a new skill in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. No previous experience needed..
Mosaics
Thursday, February 8th Swaby Village Hall 10.30am - 4pm
A chance to create something individual and special under the experienced eye of tutor Fiona Gurney.
Cost £20. Bring your own lunch - refreshments will be provided.
We will be making a weather-proof bird bath or bowl.
You will need to purchase a frost-proof terracotta plant saucer between 8 and 12 inches in diameter and bring it with you.
Peg Loom Weaving Workshop
Saturday , 10th of February. Swaby Village Hall
The workshop will run from 10 am – 4 pm and will cost £15
For an extra £5 you will be able to take the loom home with you.
Weaving with a peg loom is incredibly easy and you will quickly be able to produce a rug, bag or wall hanging.
You can use a wide variety of materials such as sheets, t-shirts, plastic bags, etc.,
in fact you can use anything that can be made into strips.
so it is an ideal opportunity to recycle your old clothes, or charity shop finds.
Please contact Pam Bankes if you need more information or wish to attend.
