This coming Friday and Saturday (19th and 20th May) we have a double event, when we are pleased to welcome William Sergeant, Owner and Curator of the Lincolnshire Chair Museum. On Friday, William will be talking about the history of Lincolnshire Chairs, with special reference to the eponymous Spilsby Chair. Franklin Hall, Spilsby 7.30pm £4 - to include another crafted creation from the Firsby Artisan Bakery. On Saturday, there will be an exhibition of Lincolnshire chairs at the Franklin Hall. The Exhibition is free and William will be on hand to answer any questions. PLEASE NOTE, William is extremely interested to find out whether there are any Lincolnshire chairs out there! If you have a rush seated or Windsor chair and would like to know its background or provenance then do please consider bringing the actual chair along or alternatively a photograph. Franklin Hall 11am - 3pm. Refreshments available. All welcome - in fact, if you do know someone who might be interested, or excitingly might own a chair, please do encourage them to come along. Attached is the Programme of forthcoming events - subject to change as we entice more unsuspecting experts to come and talk to us. Natural History events will be running through the summer and will be advised separately. Moth Trapping starts in earnest in late May - thank you, as always, to our Mother Superior, Mrs Beth Dawson. If you would like to be notified of Moth Dates, please let me know. Best wishes, Denise On behalf of the Spirit of Sutterby Steering Group
